Average premium
The average premium is the average percentage difference between the market price of a convertible bond and its equity conversion value. Calculated as a weighted average of the conversion premiums of the securities held in the portfolio, it measures the additional amount paid compared with an immediate conversion into shares. A lower premium generally indicates greater sensitivity to movements in the price of the underlying share.
