Average yield to maturity

The average yield to maturity represents the expected average annual return on the bonds held in the portfolio, taking into account both the coupons received and the difference between the purchase price and the amount repaid at maturity. It is calculated based on the yield to maturity of each security, weighted by its share of the portfolio. This indicator provides an estimate of the theoretical return of the bond portfolio, assuming that the securities are held until maturity and that the issuers do not default.
